Football Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

Westview's tournament run continued when they took on Grossmont on Saturday. The Wolverines fell 19-15 to the Foothillers. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gabi Thomas produced another solid performance rushing for 59 yards and two TDs for Grossmont.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Grossmont, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westview will welcome Poway at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans' defense has only allowed 6.4 points per game this season, so the Wolverines' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Grossmont, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Torrey Pines at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Foothillers 7.1, the Falcons 6.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
