Football Recap: Ramsey Victorious + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Ramsey walked away with it. They managed a 39-34 victory over the High Point Wildcats on Friday. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 38-7 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2018.

Despite the loss, High Point still got an impressive performance from Jerron Martress, who rushed for 226 yards and two scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 56 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Martress didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made six total tackles.

The victory made it two in a row for Ramsey and bumps their season record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.0 points over those games. As for High Point, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-2 record.

Looking ahead, Ramsey will face off against Glen Rock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 10.8 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them. High Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
