Basketball Recap: Fayette County Takes a Loss

Fayette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 63-52 to the LaGrange Grangers. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grangers earlier this season, when they won 67-53.

When it comes to explaining why Fayette County lost, don't look at Jackson Rutley. Despite the final result, he posted 19 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aden Saunders, who scored six points.

Fayette County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for LaGrange, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Fayette County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-48 loss against Pickens on the 19th. As for LaGrange, they have also already played their next game, a 65-54 defeat against Upson-Lee on the 19th.
