Rancho Bernardo is 7-1 against Mission Hills since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Rancho Bernardo fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Santa Margarita on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-6. The loss was the Broncos' first of the season.

Cruz Partida led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Brady Strachan, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Even though they lost, Rancho Bernardo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Mission Hills fell victim to Rancho Bernardo and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos. The defeat continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their meetings with the Broncos: they've now lost four in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Rancho Bernardo fell to 2-1. As for Mission Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
