Football Recap: Arlington Heights' Rushing Dominance Continues

Arlington Heights had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 36-23 win over the Brewer Bears on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Yellowjackets, who have now won four games in a row.

It was another big night for Carson James, who rushed for 290 yards and four TDs while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 63 yards.

James was just one part of a punishing run game: Arlington Heights was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 212 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Arlington Heights' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They received some extra help from Dino Walker, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Arlington Heights' record now sits at 10-1. As for Brewer, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

As of now, neither Arlington Heights nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
