Basketball Game Preview: White Plains Tigers vs. Peekskill Red Devils

The White Plains Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Peekskill Red Devils at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

White Plains is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Thursday. They came up short against New Rochelle, falling 59-36. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Peekskill took a blow against Mahopac on Wednesday, falling 85-58. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 752nd, while the Wolf Pac are ranked 189th).

White Plains' loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Peekskill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

White Plains was able to grind out a solid victory over Peekskill when the teams last played back in December of 2019, winning 82-71. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
