Basketball Recap: Massena Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Massena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the Canton Golden Bears on the road by a 70-56 margin. The Raiders lost against the Golden Bears in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 58-21 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Massena lost, don't look at Christopher Boyea. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 30 points and nine boards. Boyea is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Lavare, who posted ten points.

Massena's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Massena will take on Gouverneur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canton, they will face off against Ogdensburg Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Bears will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
