Basketball Recap: Sylvester Gitten's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mooseheart over Lisle

Mooseheart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lisle Lions. If the Red Ramblers were looking for revenge after losing 76-57 to them when the teams met back in November of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mooseheart lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sylvester Gitten, who went 6-for-7 en route to 14 points and eight boards. What's more, he also posted two blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Nishi Amos was another key player, going 7-for-13 on his way to 15 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Mooseheart's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Lisle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-22.

Mooseheart has already played their next contest, a 56-51 defeat against Illinois Math & Science Academy on the 13th. As for Lisle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 71-33 loss against Streator on the 14th.
