After losing to Chester the last time they met, Perryville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pirates won by a run and slipped past the Yellowjackets 4-3. The game was the first time the Pirates have beaten the Yellowjackets on their field since March 19, 2016.

Perryville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Chester, they moved to 9-11 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

The Pirates are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Chester, they will head out to square off against Valmeyer at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Yellowjackets surely won't give up without a fight.
