Basketball Game Preview: Globe Tigers vs. Apache Junction Prospectors

The Globe Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Apache Junction Prospectors at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Globe and six for Apache Junction.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 87-21, which was the final score in Globe's tilt against Seton Catholic on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Sentinels are ranked 79th).

Meanwhile, Apache Junction had to suffer through a 84-17 loss at the hands of Valley Christian.

Apache Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Globe, their loss dropped their record down to 5-19.

Globe beat Apache Junction 48-36 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Globe since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
