Basketball Recap: Gustavo Rubio Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Altha

Liberty County won the last time they faced Altha and things went their way on Friday too. The Liberty County Bulldogs came out on top against the Altha Wildcats by a score of 62-51.

Liberty County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gustavo Rubio led the charge by going 7 for 16 on his way to 20 points. Rubio has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Matthew Lollie was another key player, going 5 of 10 en route to 11 points along with seven boards and four steals.

Liberty County's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Altha, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Liberty County will be playing at home against Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Altha, they will venture away from home to take on Freeport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
