6A Conference 6 recap October 22, 2013
Yorktown added to the longest winning streak in 6A Conference 6 this week by beating Wakefield, 44-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Hayfield took down Stuart 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when McLean and Madison face off next week. Daniel Hecht has thrown for 587 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Brad Leydig has terrorized opposing QBs to the tune of 0.5 sacks.
The Warhawks are currently in eighth, while the Highlanders are in sixth.
There should be lots of points scored when Madison and McLean face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Lenny Schultz's team comes in having scored 7 this season, while the Highlanders have scored 117. The Warhawks scored 21 points last week as they lost to Jefferson.
