Hialeah made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Miami Beach, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Thoroughbreds put the hurt on the Hi-Tides with a sharp 11-1 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Thoroughbreds, who have now won six contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Hialeah pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Miami Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Hialeah will square off against Northwestern at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Miami Beach, they will challenge Miami Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hi-Tides are facing the Golden Hawks at the right time seeing as the Golden Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
