Grace Seigrist and Kaylee Baker were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Seigrist tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Baker tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Seigrist scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Baker got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and four RBI. Those three runs gave Seigrist a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hope Foster was a standout: she scored a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Sophia Livingston was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Lee's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Nederland, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lee hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. However, it's not like Nederland struggles in that department as they've averaged .369. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
