The victory (which was Churchland's seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Lake Taylor, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Churchland will venture away from home to face off against Kempsville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Chiefs' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Truckers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lake Taylor, they will head out to challenge Manor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.13 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
