Basketball Recap: Neodesha Wins Going Away Against Cherryvale

Neodesha won the last time they faced Cherryvale and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the Neodesha Blue Streaks' way against the Cherryvale Chargers as the Neodesha Blue Streaks made off with a 71-48 victory. The win almost wasn't to be: the Blue Streaks were down 33-4 in the third quarter.

Despite the loss, Cherryvale still got an impressive performance from Landon Fox, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 20 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Fox a new career-high in points.

Neodesha's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-5-1. As for Cherryvale, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Neodesha will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cherryvale: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Thursday.
