Recap: Plainview Indians vs. Marlow Outlaws
The Plainview Indians can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They had just enough and edged Marlow out 24-21. The victory was just what Plainview needed coming off of a 57-28 defeat in their prior game.
Plainview got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cooper Flowers out in front who rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 205 yards and a touchdown while completing 74.1% of his passes. Plainview also got help from Shepherd Sisemore who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.
Plainview now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Marlow, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainview will take on Sulphur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sulphur will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Marlow, they will head out on the road to face off against Heritage Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Hall will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
