Volleyball Recap: Adams Central Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Adams Central hadn't done well against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Flying Jets walked away with a 3-1 win over the Braves. That's more bragging rights for the Flying Jets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Adams Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-14, 25-22, 25-23.

Adams Central found their leader in sophomore Jencee Foster, who had 13 digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Foster. Brianna Pruitt was another key player, getting seven digs and two aces.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rosalie Frederick, who had 12 digs, and Lilly Sommer, who had seven digs and one assist.

With the victory, Adams Central broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-10. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, they dropped their record down to 11-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
