Recap: Old Suwanee Christian Conquerors vs. Victory Christian Academy Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Morgantown Christian Academy, the Old Suwanee Christian Conquerors were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They walked away with a 51-41 victory over Victory Christian Academy.
Old Suwanee Christian was led to victory by Devin Courtney and Jon Rojas. Courtney scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals, while Rojas scored 27 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Rojas has scored at least 25% of Old Suwanee Christian's points.
Victory Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Myrick, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. Myrick scored a full 36.6% of Victory Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Bowman, who scored 9 points along with 3 blocks.
Old Suwanee Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Victory Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Old Suwanee Christian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Immanuel Baptist at 10:30 a.m. on December 1st. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against The Oaks School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
