Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Patrick). They took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 60-26 win over the Saranac Redhawks. Given the Shamrocks' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Redhawks are ranked 579th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Patrick is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.4 points per game. As for Saranac, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

St. Patrick will venture away from home to take on Dansville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saranac, they will host Fowler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
