Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Emmett finally turned things around against Homedale on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Trojans out 3-2.
Emmett took Homedale into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 26-24, 22-25, 15-9.
Meanwhile, Cole Valley Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Fruitland on Thursday and fell 3-2.
