Football Recap: Oviedo Piles Up the Points Against Sickles

There's no place like home for Oviedo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-7 victory over the Sickles Gryphons. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Lions had established a 42-point advantage.

Oviedo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sebastian Galeano, who threw for 231 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave Galeano a new career-high. Johnnie Cobbs handled things on the ground, rushing for 102 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

The win got Oviedo back to even at 1-1. As for Sickles, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oviedo will face off against Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sickles, they will head out to challenge Alonso at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
