Volleyball Recap: Newton Local Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Newton Local unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Troy Christian Eagles on Tuesday. Indians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Eagles since Tuesday.

Newton Local's offense was headlined by Emma Rapp and Estie Rapp, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Emily Laughman and her 11 assists.

Troy Christian pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
