Basketball Recap: Kotzebue Comes Up Short

Kotzebue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Unalakleet Wolfpack, falling 83-44. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 96-62 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

Kotzebue's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Unalakleet, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

While Kotzebue had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
