Softball Recap: Yorktown Takes a Loss

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Yorktown was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They lost 17-1 to the Woodsboro Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Yorktown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydnie Krueger, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Yorktown now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Woodsboro, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yorktown will take on Port Aransas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodsboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Refugio at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
