Basketball Recap: Oakwood Beats Westville for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Oakwood entered their tilt with Westville on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They snuck past the Westville Tigers with a 49-45 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Comets also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Oakwood has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Westville, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-5.

Oakwood has already played their next contest (against Iroquois West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westville will host Hoopeston at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
