Basketball Recap: Jamison Godfread Key Part of Team Effort in Demons Win

Glenwood Springs won the last time they faced Basalt and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the Glenwood Springs Demons' way against the Basalt Longhorns as the Glenwood Springs Demons made off with a 61-40 win.

Glenwood Springs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamison Godfread, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Godfread is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played. Sayre Yellico was another key player, putting up 16 points.

The win got Glenwood Springs back to even at 10-10. As for Basalt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Glenwood Springs will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Battle Mountain at 7:00 p.m. Glenwood Springs is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season. As for Basalt, they are taking a road trip to face off against Rifle at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
