Basketball Game Preview: Wahama White Falcons vs. Williamstown Yellowjackets

Wahama is 0-5 against Williamstown since February of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Wahama White Falcons will challenge the Williamstown Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wahama will bounce into Monday's match after beating St. Marys, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Wahama claimed a resounding 87-50 victory over St. Marys.

Meanwhile, Williamstown came tearing into Saturday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 66-38. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Tigers are ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Williamstown pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games. As for Wahama, their record is now 11-5.

Wahama was taken down by Williamstown 73-38 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Wahama avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
