Volleyball Recap: Algoma Takes a Loss

Algoma lost against Central Wisconsin Christian back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders.

Among those leading the charge was Lauren Ruis, who had 14 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played. Reghan Wierenga also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Algoma's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Central Wisconsin Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Algoma will square off against Heritage Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Wisconsin Christian, they will face off against Horicon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders are facing the Marshmen at the right time seeing as the Marshmen are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
