Carlmont is 8-2 against San Mateo since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Scots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bearcats at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Carlmont came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Capuchino, falling 17-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Scots have suffered since April 17th.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, San Mateo was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to Hillsdale.

San Mateo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alice Han, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

San Mateo's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8. As for Carlmont, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-18.
