Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roosevelt). They blew past Lakes International Language Academy 98-51 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Teddies as they're now sitting on three straight.

Roosevelt had a senior duo take command as Izaiah Freeman dropped a double-double with 25 points and 16 boards and Steven Hunter went 11-for-21 en route to 26 points in addition to five assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Freeman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Obie E Esparza, who went 8-for-14 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds.

Roosevelt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Roosevelt's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.1 points over those games. As for Lakes International Language Academy, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-22.

Looking ahead, Roosevelt will be playing at home against North Community at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in North Community's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 17 contests. Lakes International Language Academy has already played their next matchup (against West Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
