Soccer Recap: Coal Ridge Takes a Loss

If Coal Ridge was feeling good fresh off their 6-1 takedown of Palisade on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans fell just short of the Steamboat Springs Sailors by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The shutout was out of character for Coal Ridge seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Coal Ridge's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3-1. As for Steamboat Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1.

Coal Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Roaring Fork on the 16th. As for Steamboat Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Fruita Monument on the 11th.
