Soccer Game Preview: Murrah vs. Madison Central

Murrah is 0-10 against Madison Central since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m.

Murrah managed to slip by Germantown the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Mavericks on Friday, falling 4-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Murrah haven't been shut out since back in November.

Meanwhile, Madison Central kept a clean sheet against Northwest Rankin on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 5-0 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Madison Central's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Madison Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-0-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. As for Murrah, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1.
