Softball Recap: Ramona Convent's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

It was fun while it lasted, but Ramona Convent's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Saturday. They fell 8-3 to the Rowland Raiders. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mariana Figueroa was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Gonzalez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Ramona Convent hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ramona Convent fell to 4-1. As for Rowland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-0-1.

Looking ahead, Ramona Convent will square off against Mountain View at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ramona Convent is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Rowland, they will be taking part in a tournament against La Canada at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
