Softball Recap: Tulare Western Comes Up Short

If Tulare Western was feeling good fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Mt. Whitney last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tulare Western Mustangs fell just short of the Hanford West Huskies by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Tulare Western saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alivea Salcedo, who went 3-for-4 with one double. Meiah Ledesma was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Tulare Western's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hanford West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Tulare Western is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will take on Bakersfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hanford West, they will take on Lemoore at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
