Basketball Game Preview: Harvard Cardinals vs. Red Cloud Warriors

Harvard hasn't had much luck against Red Cloud recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Harvard Cardinals will be playing at home against the Red Cloud Warriors at 6:00 p.m.

Harvard is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 29th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They took a hard 37-18 fall against College View Academy.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Red Cloud). They breezed by Lewiston to the tune of 66-16 on Saturday. With the Warriors ahead 35-3 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Red Cloud's win came from a few key players Harvard will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aiva Rust, who posted 21 points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Brown, who had 14 points.

Harvard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Red Cloud, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Harvard was dealt a bruising 49-12 loss at the hands of Red Cloud when the teams last played back in January of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Harvard was down 41-4.
