Volleyball Recap: Shoals' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Shoals unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Orleans Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jug Rox of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Shoals took Orleans into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 20-25, 17-25, 15-13.

Shoals' defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Orleans, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Shoals has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Wood Memorial on the 8th. As for Orleans, they will venture away from home to face off against Borden at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
