Softball Recap: Steinbrenner Warriors vs. Wharton Wildcats
With a playoff win on the line, Steinbrenner rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Wharton Wildcats. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.
Lilly Patton spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
