Basketball Game Preview: Arvada Bulldogs vs. Middle Park Panthers

The Arvada Bulldogs will challenge the Middle Park Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Arvada is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Aurora West College Prep Academy 61-21. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arvada to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carmen Medina, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. That's the most points Medina has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Taylor Dye, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten assists.

Arvada was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.8 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 13.4.

Meanwhile, Middle Park entered their tilt with Arrupe Jesuit on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Generals by a score of 47-38.

Arvada now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Middle Park, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
