Redding Christian came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Burney Raiders. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11, 25-14.

Despite the defeat, Burney had strong showings from Ciera Wilson, who had 37 digs, and Alexis Witzel, who had 25 digs and seven kills. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted 22 or more digs the last four times she's played. Aimee Hampton was another key player, getting 13 digs and two aces.

Redding Christian's victory bumped their record up to 17-8-3. As for Burney, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.
