Football Recap: Tustin Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Tustin and Rancho Cucamonga squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Tustin had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 45-8 loss at the hands of the Cougars. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Tillers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ayden Edwards threw for 76 yards on nine of 15 attempts. Rufai Azeez was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards. On the ground, Elijah Robinson rushed for 43 yards.

Rancho Cucamonga had a senior duo take command as Jacob Chambers threw for 194 yards and three TDs and James Strong III gained 144 total yards and two touchdowns. Tyree Wilson was another key player, picking up 83 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Tustin's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3. As for Rancho Cucamonga, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Tustin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they have already played their next contest, a 26-6 loss against Murrieta Valley on the 14th.
