Lakeville South never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Eastview Lightning as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Cougars have won three matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lakeville South pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Eastview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lakeville South will challenge rival Eagan at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 2.2, the Wildcats 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Eastview is set to take on their familiar foe Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
