Football Game Recap: Mabton vs. Tri-Cities Prep

Tri-Cities Prep won the last time they met up with Mabton, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Tri-Cities Prep took the contest and then some with a 55-14 win on Friday over Mabton. Followers of Tri-Cities Prep probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.

Tri-Cities Prep's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 34 points in the first half. Mabton put up 7, so the score was 34-7 at the half. The Tri-Cities Prep defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 7 and all but finishing the matchup. The victory bumped Tri-Cities Prep's record up to 4-0. The loss dropped Mabton's record to 1-3.

Tri-Cities Prep will look to defend their home turf next week against St. Bernard's at 6:00 PM. Each team will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Tri-Cities Prep skips in on four wins and St. Bernard's on five. As for Mabton, they will face off against Dayton/Waitsburg.
