Basketball Recap: Calvary Baptist Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Calvary Baptist Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Bryson Childers. The Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots walked away with a 68-61 victory over Grace Christian on Tuesday thanks in part to Childers, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Matthew DeGroff, who posted two points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Calvary Baptist Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Grace Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-4 record.

Calvary Baptist Academy will challenge Cross Lanes Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Calvary Baptist Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches. As for Grace Christian, they will square off against Teays Valley Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Teays Valley Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.1 points per game this season.
