Volleyball Recap: Somerset College Prepartory Academy South Takes a Loss

If Somerset College Prepartory Academy South was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mater Bay Academy last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Somerset College Prepartory Academy South Patriots lost 3-0 to the Pinecrest Prep Crocs on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-14.

Pinecrest Prep was led to victory by Sebastian Villarreal and Diego Garcia. Villarreal hit 100% for seven kills and 15 digs, five aces, and three blocks, while Garcia had ten digs.

Somerset College Prepartory Academy South dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Pinecrest Prep, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Somerset College Prepartory Academy South will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on BridgePrep Village Green at 4:00 p.m. on March 20th. As for Pinecrest Prep, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Mater Brickell Academy on the 12th.
