Baseball Recap: Fair Play Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Fair Play and Humansville, and Humansville kept the tradition alive. The Hornets lost 18-4 to the Tigers on Thursday. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Fair Play's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Humansville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fair Play will venture away from home to challenge Macks Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Humansville, they will head out to take on Lakeland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
