Lamar County's loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for Social Circle, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Lamar County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 28-6 win against Jasper County on the 1st. Social Circle has also already played their next matchup, a 35-6 victory against Towers on the 1st.
