Soccer Recap: Toll Gate Falls Short Against Ranked East Providence

Toll Gate faced East Providence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Titans fell just short of the Townies by a score of 3-2. Toll Gate were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Providence apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

EMMA Mcintyre wasn't going to let East Providence walk away unscathed as she scored both of Toll Gate's goals, bringing her season total up to three goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Toll Gate and nudges their season record down to 2-4-1. As for East Providence, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Toll Gate is set to face off against their familiar foe North Providence at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, East Providence will challenge rival North Smithfield at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
