Baseball Recap: Piscataway Vo-Tech Find Success

Piscataway Vo-Tech hadn't done well against Dunellen recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Raiders came out on top against the Destroyers by a score of 9-5. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 13-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Piscataway Vo-Tech let Vincent Canavan and Derek Scotillo run wild. Canavan went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Scotillo went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That triple was Canavan's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Malchiodi, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Piscataway Vo-Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dunellen only posted an OBP of .417.

The victory got Piscataway Vo-Tech back to even at 2-2. As for Dunellen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
