Baseball Recap: Ansonia Takes a Loss

Ansonia lost against Covington back in April of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Buccs by a score of 4-3. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Ansonia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Eubank, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Kam Ingle was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Ansonia's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Covington, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Ansonia will host Newton Local at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Indians have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Covington, they will venture away from home to take on Jackson Center at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
